The Struggles of Being in 20s ... ♥

With the advent of social media platform, we compare ourselves to others ... A LOT
Someone who is carrying an exorbitant-priced branded bag. Someone who doesn't stuck with a 9-5 job. Someone who is having their own successful business. And you name it ...

I always silently reprimand myself for not achieving anything major. I always silently reprimand myself for not starting anything earlier. I always silently compare myself to my peer ... Sometimes, I just wish i grew up in one of the richest family in the world where life would be simple and easy (at least that is what we all see ...)

Identity Crisis.
"Some teenagers do some crazy things to try and find their identity. They sign up for every sports team and get no sleep. They have a different boyfriend every week. They dye their hair pink, buy expensive clothes they secretly hate, and they even try out for the lead role in the school play. Basically they search for identity in tons of embarrassing ways." - iMom
After years spending in education institutions and finally found some identities such as "the most academic-excelled student in the class", "the born public speaker", "the dean list student" and etc., we are out here to face the real world. Lost in the 9-5 job, lost in the crowd of people, lost ...

They said:
"Set Goals. Set daily deliverable. Stick to it and be disciplined."
How? When you don't even have any idea what your goal could be ... Thinking big or being ridiculous? How can someone be so focused?

I guess ... Things take time?
Just like my yoga crow pose above, some takes around 15 mins to be able to do the pose with control. I personally practice every single day for 1-2 months consecutively before i'm able to do it with control. But sometimes, we lost patience. We lost hope. We lost in the countless choices of goal and direction ...

What i have learned along the way in finding my goal ...

1. Be patient
Don't rush into things. With the arrival of internet, market has been globalized and we have seen a lot of online boutique opening either with the same design (different pricing) or designs bursting at the seams. It is very tempting to go start one and compete with them, thinking you have a better way to do this and you will outmatch them. In the current book i'm into "How to Spot the Next Starbucks, Whole Foods, Walmart, or McDonalds before its shares Explode", the clue #1 - Permanently Change People's Habit such as the emergence of laptop which replace typewritters. Keep learning ...

2. Read More.
Reading promotes lateral thinking pattern. It provides you with a lot more different opinions and perspectives in how things can be done. For example, one of the ultimate question in "Rich Dad Poor Dad" series, how to add assets to your assets column without using (a lot of money) money. I'm still figuring out but glad to know that it is possible. >.< Spend generously on books (not suggesting fiction but not opposed), read the summary at the back of the book; spend on it and make sure you read it. You will be sure you will learn at least one thing from every single book. Audiobook works as well ... *Scribd is where i download and listen my books*

3. Don't get stuck into laziness.
It is tedious to keep reading day after day and book after book. It is tedious to keep telling yourself "It's not the right time yet". It is tedious to see your peer surpassing you in their career ... And they asked you to wait and learn. Slowly, the motivation to achieve something is gone. All it left is laziness ... Allow yourself one to two days of doing nothing then spring back up and start the tedious but going-somewhere routine ...

4. Give encouragement to whom is in the same situation.
In my quest to what i can be, i have a lot of ideas ... I want to start this. I want to do that. I want this. I want that. "I don't think it works.", "You don't even get the things right ...", "The economy is not right for you to start ...", "Why would people agree with your terms ..." All you get is discouragement, not a tad of support in terms of ideas sparring and how things can be worked out in a better way. Leave that kind of people behind you, they are the so-called negativity in life. If it isn't a choice, shut your ear and ignore them. Give it a try ... "Street-smart people learn more by making mistakes and those mistakes made me who i am ..." - Robert T. Kiyosaki

Thank you so much for reading ...
Hope we all be who we want to be in the near future! Fighting! xoxo

[REVIEW] Looking GOOD without makeup with Clinique ... ♥

Staring into the mirror, eyeballing your face features, scanning the condition of your skin and inevitably the pesky visible pores! In this post, Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask and Turnaround Daytime Revitalizing Moisturizer from Clinique will be reviewed to take some sweat off you before you committed yourself to any of the pores refining products. After Fan Bing Bing's legendary mask routine, i believe that a mask a day is a must for majority of us to perk up our skin and pamper ourselves. In order for the mask to work effectively, we need to prep our skin ...

To make sure the costly masks and skin care products do not go onto our face and be wasted, you are looking at a product which can help to detoxify our skin before anything else! Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal mask helps to detoxify skin where charcoal powder draws out deep-seated debris to purify pores and mineral clays soak up excess oil.
Price: RM137
How To: Apply a thin even layer on clean dry skin, avoiding eye area. Leave mask on skin about 10 minutes, or until dry and rinse well. Use 1-2 times a week or as needed.
Where to get: Sephora

Texture: It glides onto skin effortlessly.
Cleansing power: 3 / 5
Easy to wash off: Yes
How do i feel during / after: Tightening effect was felt after 5 minutes and tingling sensation ensued upon the arrival of 10 minutes.
Immediate results: Tingling sensation ensued and face was reddened.
Recommendation: Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask is not recommended for sensitive skin. My skin was reddened and it felt like my skin was prickled by needles. Wash off the mask once tingling sensation is felt and leave it alone to calm.
